Erbium Glass Micro laser
Product Description
The 1535nm ultra-small erbium glass eye-safe solid-state laser is used for laser ranging, and the 1535nm wavelength is just at the position of the human eye and the atmospheric window, so it has received extensive attention in the fields of laser ranging and electronic communication. Erbium glass laser for low pulse repetition rate (less than 10hz) laser range finder. Our eye-safe lasers have been used in rangefinders with a range of 3-5km and high stability for artillery targeting and drone pods.
Compared with common Raman lasers and OPO (Optical Parametric Oscillation) lasers that generate eye-safe wavelengths, bait glass lasers are working substances that directly generate eye-safe wavelengths, and have the advantages of simple structure, good beam quality, and high reliability. It is the preferred light source for eye-safe rangefinders.
Lasers emitting at wavelengths longer than 1.4 um are often referred to as "eye safe" because light in this wavelength range is strongly absorbed in the cornea and lens of the eye and therefore cannot reach the significantly more sensitive retina. Obviously, the quality of "eye safety" depends not only on the emission wavelength, but also on the power level and light intensity that can reach the eye. Eye-safe lasers are especially important in 1535nm laser ranging and radar, where light needs to travel long distances outdoors. Examples include laser rangefinders and free-space optical communications.
